Welcome to the home of the Waiuku Steelman Ironmaiden festival of Multisport

For latest race day Information see the News Page

After 8 years based around Waiuku, the Steelman Ironmaiden is going on tour up the Awhitu peninsular.

The 2014 event will be held on the 22nd of November and will include something for everyone, whether your a multisport veteran, training for coast to coast, a weekend warrior searching for a new challenge, or a newcomer to these type of events.

Conditions beyond our control mean that the traditional course around Waiuku is unavailable for 2014, so what a great chance to take in the beauty and rugedness of the Awhitu pensular.  The 2014 event will be based and take place around the Awhitu Regional Park.

The Awhitu regional park is an easy 20min drive north from Waiuku.

In a significant change to the format, all transitions will be at the Brooks campground within the confines of the reginal park.  This new format will allow supporters to base themselves for the day at the Brooks campground, and for competitors it will allow competing without the need for a support crew.

With the new location, we have an Auckland council imposed limit of 150 competitors across all events.  Entries are open now.
