Steelman Ironmaiden headed up to the Awhitu peninsular in 2014, and became the Awhitu Multisport Festival. The Awhitu Regional Park proved a great host and provided challenging courses.

We are back there this year on 28th November. Start times are pushed back one hour or so to match the later tide and give easier commuting and courses slightly shorter so we should finish around the same time. High tide at Awhitu will be 1pm

The 2015 event will be based and take place around the Awhitu Regional Park.
The Awhitu Regional Park is an easy 20min drive north from Waiuku.

Again this year all transitions will be at the Brooks campground within the confines of the reginal park.  This new format will allow supporters to base themselves for the day at the Brooks campground, and for competitors it will allow competing without the need for a support crew.

Entries are open now.

Once again Steelman IronMaiden will be the third and final leg of Auckland Multisport Championships (AMC).

The AMC is a three-race series during October and November.
The series commences with the
South Head Challenge on the 31st of October.
The second race is the
Rodney Coast Challenge on the 14th of November, with finally the Steelman Ironmaiden on the 28th of Novewmber.
There is no entrty fee or registration required of the AMC.  Just compete in all three and we’ll work out the rest!
